What does The Greyhound Health and Wellness Program Do?

Clinical research on spontaneous diseases of Greyhounds

Financial assistance for medical and surgical care of Greyhounds at The OSU Veterinary Hospital
Spay, neuter, and dental clinic for retired racers
Free email consultation for Greyhound owners and veterinarians
A website with current Greyhound health information
Educational programs for Greyhound owners and veterinarians

Too many of our hounds develop osteosarcoma or other diseases that can be fatal and cause us to lose our hounds much too soon. These hounds fight bravely with dignity and courage and break our hearts when they leave us. The 2009 Hope for Hounds collars, designed by 2 Hounds Designs, honors these wonderful Greyhounds that are afflicted with these terrible diseases. The sale of these collars will benefit the Greyhound Health and Wellness Program and Greyhound cancer research under the direction of Guillermo Couto, DVM, at The OSU College of Veterinary Medicine, and Southeastern Greyhound Adoption.

The Greyhounds displayed on each collar represent and remind us of our own Greyhounds, past and present. For some, it is the hound currently on our couch. For others, it is the hound(s) that has left us, waiting for us at the Rainbow Bridge, whole and healthy once again.

What colors are available?

SEGA ordered an assortment of collars and 5 available lining options (limited supplies and lining options are available):

Copper
Kiwi green
Eggplant

What sizes are the collars?

All collars are medium sized (13 to 18 inches), have silver colored hardware and are 1-1/2 inches wide.

Plus postage: $2.50 when ordering only one collar; $5.00 for 2 or more collars

Step 1
Choose a collar by selecting a color from the dropdown and clicking the Add to Cart button. To order additional collars, continue following this step. Additional collars and quantities will be added to your PayPal cart. If you want to order more than one collar of the same color, you will need to repeat this step for each collar of that color.
