ADOPTABLE GREYHOUNDS
SEGA currently receives most of its adoptable Greyhounds via the Irish Retired Greyhound Trust, Greyhound Racing New South Wales (Australia) or Greyhound Pets of America. American racing Greyhounds become available in very rare cases, especially since the 2020 closure of Florida Greyhound tracks. Potential adopters are encouraged to submit their applications but also be prepared for longer than normal wait times for an adoption.
We currently have 10 hounds available for adoption.

Arriving in March! We've been told that Tayto is a gentle, loving chap – he can be a little shy at first, but once he opens up his brilliant personality shines through. He is a good traveller and loves his food. He enjoys grooming. Tayto likes children, especially to play with, and he is gentle with big and small dogs alike. Tayto would make a fantastic family dog, for children of any age, and he would be happy to share his home with a canine companion, too.

Arriving in March! Our Irish friends tell us that Darcy lives up to his literary namesake – a total gentleman! This sweet boy is a mannerly and calm. He loves being groomed gently and likes to go for a spin in the car. He can sometimes be a little overexcited around small dogs, but that is mostly out of curiosity. Given slow and supervised introductions, he is happy to share a space with them. Mr Darcy is a wonderfully sweet Grey. He would love an affectionate family who could shower him with love. You’ll certainly ‘ardently admire and love’ this boy once you get to know him.

Arriving in March! We've been told that Jada is a very sweet girl with a lovely temperament. She enjoys her walks and is very easy on the lead. Jada enjoys ear scratches and is a good traveler who is used to being around dogs of all sizes and is gentle with smaller dogs. She would be happy to share her home with another canine friend once they have been introduced properly.

Arriving in March! Word from Ireland is that Larry is a well mannered, mellow boy who is easy to handle. He loves being groomed, and is very good for nail trims. He is very affectionate and will lean into your legs for a snuggle. He walks happily on the lead and likes going on interesting walks. He likes children and is small dog friendly. Larry is a cheery chap who should fit into a variety of families! He would be happy to share with other canine companions. This sweet boy will win you over with his easy-going charm!

Arriving late March! Our Irish friends have told us that Joe is a bright, clever boy, who easy going and relaxed. He loves to be groomed and is very good for nail trims. He enjoys a spin in the car and loves going on walks – he walks very nicely on the lead. Small dog friendly, he also likes to spend time with children as they give him lots of attention. He will make a fine addition to his new home, whether for long walks, playing in the garden, or snuggling in a comfy dog bed near the family.

Arriving in March! Advance word from Ireland is that Syd is an amazing boy. He loves attention and being out and about, exploring new places. He is confident but not strong on the lead. He’s calm in traffic and doesn’t mind the hoover. He loves meeting children out on walks but would perhaps be best suited to over 10s. He is gentle with all dogs, big and small – he enjoys relaxing with a Jack Russell buddy. He’s incredibly lovable and will make a fabulous family pet.
