Adoption manual

Our adoption manual is essential to anyone adopting a Greyhound. It is full of information and advice that we believe will help make for a successful adoption. It is required reading for anyone adopting a Greyhound from us.

ABOUT THE MANUAL

Our adoption manual is based upon and adapted from a manual for Greyhound adopters developed by our friends at Greyhound Options, Inc. in Massachusetts, whose help and advice was invaluable in the early days of Southeastern Greyhound Adoption. The revisions and updates in the manual are contributions from many SEGA volunteers and the SEGA Screening and Placement Committee. Thank you, one and all!

He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, and his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.” — Author unknown
